Urban Decay Naked foundation and concealer review

I’ve been on the lookout for a new foundation and concealer to try, as I do have favourites but I get bored easily. I have seen other bloggers rave about the Urban Decay Naked concealer, so thought I’d give it a shot.

I managed to get a great deal on it through Feelunique.com, and a discount for multiple items meant I also opted for the Naked powder foundation compact too.

I got it delivered yesterday and was SO EXCITED to open to box and check out my new makeup. I got both products in Fair neutral which is the second lightest option on the shade list.

The products are packaged really nicely, with the foundation showcased in a mirrored, click-close compact and the concealer in a space concious tube with a shiny handle to match the compact case.
So, let’s get down to the important stuff, how good are the products? Well I thoroughly tested them today, I applied both this morning before work on clean skin with no primer so I can do a proper test of the product longevity. I dotted the concealer under my eyes, around the base of my nose and on my chin (my problem area as I suffer breakouts there a lot). I had a little spot on my chin this morning too, so I got to test the concealers coverage properly. The wand to apply holds just enough product to cover all the problem areas without having to refill the brush, which is really handy. It goes on really creamy and smoothly and blends in beautifully with a foundation brush. Once blended, the concealer dries to a feathery light, semi-matte finish. It covered my 6am dark circles effortlessly without sitting in the lines, and even made short work of covering that pesky spot on my chin! I followed up my concealing by applying the powder foundation with the sponge provided, just focusing on the middle of my face and blending outwards. I then dusted a little over the rest of my face with my Real Techniques powder brush. My skin looked unbelievably flawless when I finished, with a soft, almost “blurred” look. It looked luminous, smooth and like a porcelain doll in the best way. The powder made my skin super soft and velvety too, I had to stop myself from touching it. So far, so good.

13 hours later, I’m just about to cleanse my face, and thought I’d have a closer look at how it’s held up throughout the day. In all honesty, I’m thrilled with it! The concealer is still going strong and hasn’t rubbed off, flaked or gone blotchy. The foundation is still intact, though needs touching up round my chin and cheeks as I tend to touch those areas a lot throughout the day. Otherwise I still look shine free, fresh and pretty dam flawless after a whole days wear. I’m so impressed!

Though they are expensive products, I would fully recommend them for their quality, durability and longevity. I will be purchasing these again for sure!
