Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation review

I love Charlotte Tilbury makeup, I think that’s a bit obvious now haha! I have been using her Light Wonder foundation for the last few months and it’s utterly incredible, so when I heard she was releasing a new foundation I kind of lost of mind. I was sent a sample of the new formula along with a sample of “supermodel body” body cream.

I wanted to try the foundation out ASAP, and I had a suuuuper long day yesterday going to see the Foo Fighters in Milton Keynes, so took the opportunity to road test this newbie.

I put the foundation on the back of my hand and applied with my Real Techniques foundation brush as normal. The formula is super smooth and goes on like a dream! I hardly had to do any work because it just blended in effortlessly and, I’m not exaggerating, it covered EVERYTHING. My dark circles, pigmentation and little imperfections were GONE. I looked like I’d been airbrushed with next to no effort. I didn’t even have to use powder because it dries to a velvety matte finish but still looks dewy and healthy. I sat and looked at my skin for a good 5 minutes before I finished putting my makeup on just because it looked so unbelievable. The best part though? It lasted over 15 hours flawlessly, with no discomfort. Usually a long lasting foundation feels quite heavy and “mask-like”, but not this one. It’s so comfortable on the skin and doesn’t feel at all heavy. It still looked freshly applied when I got home in the early hours, and only came off when I removed it with Micellar water, which is INSANE!!

Yes, it’s not cheap, but if you want a foundation that will do everything effortlessly, I fully back this one. It’s taken the top spot for me without even trying, and that’s pretty incredible!

Time to start stocking up!
I was also sent the “Supermodel Body” sample. This amazing body cream is the secret weapon of alisters looking for glowing, sexy skin. You know those magazine shoots where the models skin is really luminous, dewy and gorgeous? That is Supermodel Body. Charlotte Tilbury has been using this wonder product for years and it is now a backstage and photoshops favourite. Kate Moss uses it all the time, that’s enough to convince me.

Anyway, I tried this great product on my arms, shoulders and collarbone on a night out and it made my skin look incredible. Ta shimmery without being glittery and gives the skin a deep luminosity which I’ve only ever seen when I’ve had a good holiday. It’s gorgeous! The formula is silky and easy to apply and is just beautiful once on. Again, it’s an expensive product but with results like that, it’s worth it!! I’ll be buying a bottle after No spending September is over.
