Charlotte Tilbury Matte revolution lipstick review

I’ve been on a Charlotte Tilbury Love-Athon recently, probably because it was the last makeup I bought before “No spending September” started, aaaand because I’m simply OBSESSED with her makeup!

I’ve been meaning to do a review on these lipsticks since I’ve had them quite a while now, but just haven’t got round to it, so here it is, at last! They have been well and truley tested for a few weeks so I can give you the most accurate review possible.

So, I bought these lipsticks after falling head over heels in love with the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick from the Charlotte Tilbury. I wanted a more matte texture going into the autumn months and have seen reviews on YouTube that said this was a good buy for matte lips. Me, being me, couldn’t decide on a shade so I bought 2.

I bought Matte Revolution lipsticks in “Amazing Grace” and “Love Liberty”, both gorgeous pinky shades. I wanted something other than my standard red so rich, bold pinks were my play this time.

Upon opening them for the first time, and twisting the lipsticks from their beautiful rose gold tubes, I instantly fell in love with the colours. They are rich, bold and so wearable for day or night. I made a good choice! And the lipstick itself smells like chocolate and vanilla, it’s irresistable! I could not wait to try them on!

I have worn both of these colours several times over the last few weeks and I’m always impressed at the colour payoff and longevity of wear. Once on, it won’t budge for hours! Pretty sweet! But what I love most is that they are matte lipsticks that moisturise at the same time. You don’t get any of the cracking or flaking that most matte lipsticks are prone to due to the formula being dry to enhance the matte look. It’s a problem we all face, to matte and be dry, or to moisturise and be Demi-matte? Not anymore! I have no idea how Charlotte cracked it, but she made a perfect matte lipstick. It is comfortable to wear, has great colour, stays on for ages and makes your skin look heavenly. I don’t think I’ll be needing my other matte lipsticks anymore…
