A few changes

As we near the end of the year (already! I know!) I start to feel the itch to change things up. Most people start making changes from January, but I like to get in early and start the new year as I mean to go on.

So in preparation for the new year, I have made a few changes already and I’m aiming for a few more. I cut my hair off. I have cut my hair off approximately 4 times in the last 6 years, simply because I get bored. My hair was getting longer but I just didn’t feel like it was working for me anymore and longed for the days of my easy choppy Bob, so I went for the chop and I’m pleased to say I feel myself again! I love the cut.

You may have noticed I have also changed the layout of my blog site too. I felt it needed to be easier to navigate and much simpler to view all my posts in one place rather than having to scroll through. I love the new layout, but I’d love your feedback!

Next up, I’m going to be completing my capsule wardrobe challenge. I decided to create a capsule wardrobe last month as I was fed up of opening my wardrobe in the morning and having tonnes of beautiful clothes but nothing cohesive, so decided to make a change. For the last few weeks I have been having a clear out to downside my wardrobe, taking out Summer items to be packed away and only buying items that will work with the rest of of wardrobe. So far it’s very monochrome, but I like that! Monochrome never goes out of fashion after all. I will be uploading a post about my capsule wardrobe once a it’s done so keep an eye out for that!

As part of the wardrobe downsize, I also cleared out my makeup drawer and my nail varnish collection, removing all the colours I just don’t wear and getting rid! My makeup drawer had a full refresh and my sisters and mum benefit from this as they get loads of new makeup without spending a penny! Lucky then eh?! I feel so much lighter now, I fully recommend a refresh before Christmas just to make you feel a bit free-er and make space for any goodies you may get over the festive period!

I invested! I decided to invest in some GHD’s as my beloved Remington shine therapy straighteners have seen better days. I’ll be super sad to see them go as they have been so good to me, but I needed to get a great pair of straighteners, so I got the Limited Edition Arctic Gold GHD’s. I’m so excited to get them!! I’ll follow up with a post once I receive them!

So that’s all my changes for now, I’m sure I will come up with some more closer to the new year, but for now,  think I have enough to make me feel content. What changes are you making?

  1. You look AMAZING with a bob! I wish I was that brave to get a bob but I feel like shoulder length is as short as I can go xD I also recommend GHD’s so glad you got one. I have had mine for 6-7 years and not had one problem with it *touch wood*

  2. Love your hair, might get mine done like that next time. I usually go for the same bob each time. I’m making a major change and waiting for an appointment for a course of approx 2 years foot surgery. It’s a big risk as I’ll be out of work but the situation is pretty severe so I need that to happen
