So, it’s officially 2016! Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful end to 2015. With the new year in mind, we all look at changes we can make to better ourselves and our lives, from joining the gym, making a big physical change and simple things like eating healthier.
Making a resolution is great, but we all have the tendency to aim a little too high when the clock strikes 12. Last year, for example, I decided I was going to join the gym. After paying for a 6 month membership, I only went twice in total! I’m not sporty or athletic at all, so why I thought that was a good idea I will never know haha!
This year, I’ve decided to keep it simple. I’m getting older now and I can’t afford to keep eating junk food the way I do, so I am aiming to eat more healthily from now on. I’m hoping to share some of my healthy choices with you all, so you can share my journey with me.
It’s a very simple change but it can make a huge difference, not just to my body, but also to my well being. I’m hoping it will give me more energy, and this will aid me in my other goal which is to be more active. I want to go out and see the world a bit more, go on walks, enjoy the outdoors and just be a bit more outdoorsy in general. I’ve got stuck in a bit of a rut this year, and spend an awful amount of time indoors doing basically nothing. That needs to change, for sure!!
I’m also going to aim to spend less money this year. I need to think about my savings and preparing for my own home, so that means less shopping, less eating out in restaraunts (though I will never give that up), and saving more money each month.
