If you’re like me and have skin that likes to misbehave at really inappropriate times (usually before a party or event where I’d prefer to look my best), and need a quick fix to sort it, then this will be great for you. I tend to break out around my chin and sometimes around my eyebrows after having them waxed, and it’s really expensive constantly buying new face masks, so having an effective at home remedy is really helpful.
I discovered this great remedy while looking through some old home remedy books, and it works an absolute treat on my skin, usually clearing it up within a few days of using it, and it’s SO SIMPLE to make, you really can’t go wrong.
How to do it
You will need:
- Cinnamon
- Honey
- Rolled oats
All you need to do is mix a spoonful of cinnamon with a spoonful of rolled oats, and add 2 spoonfuls of honey. Mix into a paste and apply all over your face avoiding the eye area, leave for 15 minutes then rinse off. EASY!
The cinnamon increases bloodflow to the skin and opens pores, while the honey works as a natural antibacterial to clean the skin gently and helps to fight those pesky breakouts. The oats calm, and moisturise the skin while also acting as an exfoliant when rinsing off. Its really effective and smells lovely when applied. I absolutely love it and try to do it at least once a week or twice if my skin is bad.
Give it a try and see how you get on, and please let me know what you think of this quick easy remedy!
