Cinnamon French Toast Brunch

I’m a big lover of a lazy weekend, eating yummy food. But, being a lazy weekend, I don’t want to make anything fussy to eat for breakfast, brunch or lunch. So, when I’ve got the lazy bug and fancy something filling and tasty, I look toward Cinnamon French Toast with fruit.

Not only is this recipe super yummy, but it’s simple to make and can be enjoyed morning, noon and night. Basically whenever you want a healthy sweet treat, look no further!

What do you need? (For one 2 slice portion)

  • White or wholemeal sliced bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup
  • Fruit

So, all you need to do is put the egg, milk, cinnamon and maple syrup in a bowl big enough to fit the slice of bread into. Mix them all together with a whisk until creamy, then simple put each slice of bread in the mixture until both sides are coated and put straight into a hot oiled pan on medium heat.

Cook the bread on each side until golden brown, and place on a plate. Cut up any fruit of choice and dust just a tad of powdered sugar on the top for extra sweetness, or add a dollop of yoghurt to add an extra hit of goodness.

Now just sit back and enjoy your Cinnamon French Toast! Yummy!
