Ok, so I’m a bit late doing my April favourites. I’ve been so ridiculously busy recently I just haven’t had any time to sit and write, but I’m here now, ready to share my favourites from last month!
So let’s get started!
It’s been a really good month for beauty, so I have a few favourites to share. First up is the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon’s eyeshadow pallette, which I’ve been absolutely loving this month! The colours are so beautiful and wearable, they last really well, and look flawless! The added bonus of the chocolate scent is a winner too. Also from Too Faced, the Melted Chocolate edition lipstick in Milkshake. This lipstick is super nourishing, creamy and long lasting with a sweet chocolatey scent, and the colour is just BEAUTIFUL! I also repurchased my favourite Charlotte Tilbury Rock’n’Kohl liner in Barbarella Brown and fell in love all over again! It just goes on so dreamily, and leaves a long lasting defined line. I also finally got my hands on the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Bitch Perfect after lusting after it for months. It is the PERFECT nude shade and is so creamy and nourishing, a handbag essential this month. I’ve been a huge fan of First Aid beauty skincare for many years and the new releases are fantastic! The daily moisturiser and eye rescue remedy have become my secret weapons this month. I absolutely love the way the moisturiser absorbs so quickly, and creates a great base for makeup. It’s non greasy and very caring for sensitiv skin which is great for me. The eye cream is similar, but also contains anti aging ingredients with a light tint to cover dark circles and instantly refresh the eyes. Finally, the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. This mascara is unreal! It creates long, fluttery lashes with one sweep and doesn’t flake or smudge at all. A real keeper!
I have tried a couple of new products this month, and have really enjoyed them. I got the Yes to blueberries shampoo & conditioner on recommendation from a friend, as they are 97% natural and promise great results, and they live up to their promise! My hair feels soft, smooth and bouncy and smells great! I also finally found a cruelty free hair colour brand on the high street this month (HURRAH!!) and it’s this Superdrug own brand colour performance range. The colour options are great and the colour I chose (a brown/auburn shade) came out really well on my hair. I’m a big fan, and really thinking about brightening it up and going more coppery! Not all new items, I’ve switched back to using my Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It styling cream, which creates a smooth finish to my hair even if I let it air dry.
Spring is here and the warm weather is arriving, so I’ve been updating my wardrobe with summery essentials. I gave my jacket a spring twist by updating to a lighter colour and going for a suede style material. This New Look number really fits the bill with a super soft exterior and a lightweight build. It’s great for throwing over a dresser jeans. I’ve also found a new love for my Topshop Leigh jeans this month. They are really comfy, fit like a glove and look so effortless! I can’t give enough love to this Zara lace top I bought this month either. It’s the perfect blend of modern tailoring and girly sweetness, with a beautiful lace overlay and high neck cut. It’s just stunning! I’ve been pairing that with my Topshop high waisted chinos, which work at work or at play. I love how soft and comfortable they while being super versatile.
I’ve been having a bit of a love affair with Oliver Bonas Jewellery recently, picking up these beautiful pieces. I first spotted this statement 3D geometric necklace a few months ago after seeing it on a mannequin in their window. Sadly it sold out super fast but came back into stock this month and I couldn’t resist! It adds a real twist to classic outfits. Along with the necklace, I grabbed 2 cuff bracelets. One multi strand cuff bracelet and the other a beaded cuff. They are so simple and classic and fit really comfortably on my wrists. Finally, to finish the look I got these adorable stacking rings. I absolutely love their simplistic look and style.
