June Favourites

I’ve just got home from a week away in Cornwall, getting away from it all (including the internet because the connection there is quite simply pants!), and taking some time out to just chill. But, I’m now back in London and ready to bring  you my Jube favourites!

I have quite a few this month so please bear with me!

This month I’ve been really focused on my complexion and nailing my base, Hense why I have 4 cover up favourites! First up, an old favourite back again, Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow foundation in shade 2. This foundation is everything you need for a soft focus, sheer, glowy complexion. It’s super light and easy to blend and stays put all day, AND has the added benefit of anti aging ingredients. It’s packs a real punch of coverage and beautifying goodness! Likewise with the Perricone MD no foundation foundation. This little genius gives a sheer coverage with a glowy finish and added SPF30 so can be used in place of a sunscreen while you’re out and about! Genius! I also have 2 concealers in this months fave’s, the Perricone MD no concealer concealer which is a bloody genius at brightening under the eyes and covering dark circles with added SPF 35 for that delicate area; and the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer which has been in my makeup bag for years as its literally the best concealer I’ve ever used for covering blemishes.

Onto eyes, and I’m still a huge fan of the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara which effortlessly creates big, show stopping lashes with no weight or flaking. It’s just so simple and one coat creates all the drama anyone could want! To frame my eyes, my new ultimate weapon is the Eyeko Eye do liquid liner. I’m a bit of an eyeliner conosseur since I’ve been rocking winged liner for around 10 years now, and I’ve tried ALOT of liners. This one has my heart. It’s super precise, really intensely pigmented and it will not budge until you’re ready to take it off. Massive fan!

Finally, lips. Now you may recall seeing the NYX lip creme in Shade Cannes in my previous favourites, but this month I have been absolutely loving the bolder colours of the range. Mainly the hot red of shade Amsterdam and the ‘suits everyone” hot coral pink of Ibiza. These are the ultimate summer shades, and the formula packs a real colour punch while lasting for hours and all without drying out your pout. Amazing! I’ve also been rocking the Too Faced Melted liquid lipstick in Chocolate Milkshake, which is a pretty beige nude lipstick that gives a hit of moisture and a lovely shimmering colour. It’s great to just throw in my handbag for a day out and apply without a mirror.

I’ve always been faithful to the Simple makeup remover lotion for my makeup removing needs, but after deciding to switch to only cruelty free products I had to find an alternative. Luckily I stumbled upon the Superdrug Vitamin E gentle eye makeup remover, which is a creamy, rich cream. It effortlessly removes all my eye makeup while being super gentle, and it’s great at shifting the rest of my makeup too. I’ve recently also gone back to an old favourite for my daily cleansing, in the form of LUSH Angels on Bare Skin face wash. It’s really gentle effective but doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight like some cleansers do. After cleansing I have been using the First Aid Beauty ultra repair day moisturiser as it is light enough to wear under makeup without any greasy residue, but still gives me all the moisture I need.

For my body, I have been really loving The Bosy Shop Pinita Coloda body butter for its rich, creamy formula and unbelievable moisturisation. It smells sooooo good too! I’ve also gone back to the Soap and Glory Hand food hand cream which has been in my bag everyday this month. It gives all the moisture I need and smells so lovely. What’s not to love?

I’ve taken a real shining to the Fudge Urban haircare range recently, specifically the dry shampoo, texture spray and styling mousse. These amazing products do exactly what they say on the tin, and smell sooooo good while they do it too. If you care about good hair days, look no further.

I recently decided to part ways with my beloved GHD’s because I noticed my hair was suffering from all the heat styling, and I switched back to my previous favourites, the Remington Keratin Smooth straighteners. These babies effortlessly straights and style my hair, while having the additional benefit of having keratin coated plates and a heat protection sensor to ensure the hair is never under too much heat pressure and is cared for. Smart, right? And the temperature is adjustable to further aid the protection of the hair.

My Beats solo 2 headphones have gone everywhere with me this month, keeping me company on the train ride to work, on the way to my holiday and just when I need to take some time out. They have great noise cancellation and intense sound quality, but they also look nice and are really comfortable. Love 💙.

While I was away in Cornwall, it rained ALOT, and I had no rain Mac. Luckily I spotted a SeaSalt shop and picked up this adorable anchor print waterproof Mac with toggle fastenings. It’s really soft and comfortable, with full lining and guaranteed waterproof outer. It saved my bacon on several of the rainy days with no effort at all. It’s a great piece! I also wore my Adidas Hamburg trainers for much of the holiday simply because they are just so comfortable and go with almost anything! I wore them on long walks, climbing around rocks and even on the beach and they did me proud. My nude pink faux leather backpack from Primark also did very well for the holiday, effortlessly carrying all my daily necessities really comfortably, and it looked great doing so!

I also discovered a new brand in Cornwall called Married to the sea. They do cosy jersey basics with their vintage style nautical emblem embossed to them. I picked up a cosy hoody with fleeced inside and a fluffy hood, a sweater dress, tshirt dress and slouchy tshirt. It was one of those stores where I genuinely wanted one of everything and that doesn’t happen too often! Unfortunately they are not currently online, but they may be opening an online store soon!
