Get lippy

Being a huge fan of all things lip product related, it’s no surprise I’m always looking for the next favourite one, and here it is.

I’ve been a bit of a lip balm hoarder since the age of 13. I remember buying my first pot of Vaseline lip care with my allowance at 13 years old and thinking I was so grown up because I had glossy lips. Then the Rosè edition was launched and the world of tinted lip balm was born! Fast forward 10 years… OK, 14…and I’m now using a more modern and sophisticated version of the classic. I have been through many varieties of tinted balm in that time, from Burts Bee’s to Clarins, but never settled on one that I absolutely loved until now.

Korres are a natural beauty product specialist, using all natural ingredients to create power products that do exactly what they promise. I have used their body  milks and cleansers before, and adored them, so when I spotted these gorgeous tinted lip balms I just had to have a go! There are 10 shades available from neat nude hues to a variety of red’s and pinks which will flatter any skin tone.

I picked up 3 shades, Jasmine, Wild Rose and Pomegranate

First things first. The formula is TO DIE FOR!! It’s creamy, super hydrating and lasts for ages, but the best part is the colour.

Wild Rose – this deep red butter is stunning! It adds just a hint of a berry hue to the lips which can be built up to a darker shade. It’s just red enough to give a “bitten” look, but not as dramatic as a full on red. This is a great daytime alternative.

Pomegranate – this is a lovely coral shade with a sheer finish. In the pot it looks really bright, but on the lips it’s quite muted and very pretty.

Jasmine – this shade is great for a “no makeup” look as it’s perfectly nude and has a slight shimmer to it making it look like your lips but better.

I love the wearability of these yummy lip butters, from the great formula to the super wearable shades, they are a handbag staple for sure! I keep them to hand just in case.
