August Favourites

My word…has August been a long month or is it just me? I feel like payday took FOOOOOOREVER to come round! But it’s been a nice month, full of lovely weather, fun days out and the excitement of Autumn approaching! So here are my favourite things from this month.

Quite a few favourites this month, so lets get started!

NYX Matte lip crème in Amsterdam – This is my current GO-TO red lipstick. I have always believed that popping on a red lip fixes almost anything, and this little beauty ticks all the right boxes. Its a matte liquid lipstick, but with all the comfort of a satin. Its not drying or lumpy like a lot of matte lipsticks, and the colour is TO DIE FOR! The perfect poppy red.

DHC cleansing oil – This oil is a skin saviour! Simply apply to a dry fully made up face, rinse with warm water and the make up melts off effortlessly leaving a clean, glowing complexion. Genius!

Natural Collection highlighter stick – The super cheap champagne highlighter if dreams! I use this highlighter on my cheekbones, eyes and brow bone to add a really brightening effect. Plus it’s only £1.99!!

Collection gel polish – a cheap alternative to getting gels at the salon, this nail varnish is a superb dupe and lasts for days rather than hours!

Soft and Gentle anti-perspirant – I used this waaaaaay back when I first started wearing “ladies” deodorant, and I remember loving the fresh feminine scent, so when I picked up this compressed version and smelled that same familiar smell, I was over the moon! The formula is fantastic too.

Pericone MD No Concealer Concealer – a second appearance from this absolute babe of a product. Never have I used an under eye concealer that works as well as this one. It brightens with light reflecting particles, tightens with anti aging ingredients and  protects with SPF 35. A triple threat well worth the spend!

The Body Shop Green tea body butter – the same superb body butter with a new fresh and zingy fragrance. It smells utterly divine and instantly lifts my mood, while the formula gets to work making sure my skin looks its best.

Korres rose lip butter – I have 3 of these babies, but this red shade gets used the most. Its the perfect “just been kissed” tint with a super moisturising formula. A handbag essential.

My old converse – my old faithful converse have had a revival this month, been favoured over sandals and pumps for comfort and their classic styling. I love wearing them with dresses, jeans, shorts, and even pairing them with my work gear to add a casual edge.

Soap and Glory hair towel – This amazing invention keeps my hair neatly in place and helps to dry it quickly while I get ready in the morning. Simply put it on your head, twist and fastening with the button at the back, simples.

T-shirts – I have been having a serious love affair with tshirts this month. I have them in every cut, style and material now and cannot get enough of them! They’re super easy to dress up or down and make dressing so easy! The one in the picture is from Forever 21.

Uber Eats – I only discovered the Uber Eats app this month and have already used it several times. It’s a quick, cheap food delivery service bringing the best restaurant foods right to your door. AH-MAZING!!

Topshop Mom Jeans – I LOVE these jeans!! They are loose enough to feel super comfy, but slim enough to look tailored. They fit so well, and just seem to get better the more I wear them.

Oh K! Coconut water fibre masks – I love, love, love these! They are so easy to use, smell lovely and make my skin feel really nourished and bouncy after using. If I use one before bed, when I wake up my whole face looks glowy and fresh. Worth every penny.

Hi-Smile whitening system – I fell for the hype, and I’m glad I did. This gentle, yet effective whitening treatment really does work, and its soooo easy to use, anyone could do it. I’m already ordering my next batch of gels because I love it so much.
