The perfect red lipstick?

I have been obsessed with red lipstick since I was a child. I used to draw red lips onto every character in my colouring books, and used a felt tip pen to give all my Barbies and dolls a beautiful rouge lip. Since then I have been on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick. I’ve come close a few times, and fallen head over heels for some, but I think I finally found the ultimate red… It’s a miracle!!

And here it is… Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in So Marilyn. Inside the beautiful gold packaging is a bullet of this beautifully rich ruby red satin lipstick. The satin formula glides on effortlessly leaving a bold, creamy colour on the lips. The formula for this gorgeous lipstick is full of antioxidants and a secret ingredient to make the lipstick not only moisturising, but also fight harmful pollutants leaving your lips soft and irresistable!

It is a real show stopper if you want a bold red lip. It’s a blue hued colour, which I think works much better in a red, as it makes teeth look whiter and makes it look a lot more classic. It is absolutely stunning on the lip and really does last, but being a Satin formula you can’t expect it to last all night. But the good news is that it fades in unison, leaving you with a beautiful red pout without that weird centre fading that happens with a lot of long lasting lipsticks.

If you love a red lipstick, give this one a go, it’s completely overshadowed my other red’s with no trouble at all!

  1. I’ve resisted buying it because I have so many red lipsticks but might get it at some point one I’ve made a satisfying dent in the others. My perfect red for a while now has been Kate Moss lipstick in shade 07. It’s slightly deeper which I love

    1. Honestly, I have 10 reds and this is different to all of them. I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s just gorgeous! I tried the Kate Moss one but found it a bit drying which is sad. If you’re a red lipstick veteran like me, you’ll love it!

    2. Also, forgot to mention that I too have always been obsessed with red lipstick. Since I was young I’ve loved pictures of the women in the 40s with their badge of courage
